It does appear that he's correct! Very photogenic kid and nice images!

My oldest son is going to be a senior next year. I would love to take his senior pics but he's pretty sure he wants "someone who ACTUALLY does senior pictures" to do it.
I got a new continuous lighting system and background stands for my birthday yesterday and convinced him to let me use him as a model.
I really like the results, he likes them as well, maybe I'm slowly swaying him. This was just impromptu shot and I'm a complete newbie to studio lighting. Helpful hints and suggestions appreciated.

Nice work, John. I like the lighting and the background. You might want to clone out the little bit of the guitar that's sticking out from behind his head, though. Still, I don't see how a "pro" could do any better. That's a great pic.

That's a great eye you have, I didn't notice the strap button growing out of his head! I will take care of that this evening and while I'm at it I may fix a couple creases in the backdrop.
Thanks for the feedback!

This was THE easiest senior I have ever photographed! After we finished, his mom was giving him a hard time about not liking to be photographed. He said "Mom, I don't like being photographed...but I am good at it!"
