Sorry for the bump, but just wanted to say I just tried my SanDisk Extreme Pro (90mb/s write) vs my SanDisk Extreme (45mb/s write) and there was no difference in speed when shooting bursts with my 6D. Both cards took about 8 seconds to clear the buffer, but I did notice that I could still shoot a few bursts with the Extreme Pro while it was clearing the buffer, where the Extreme could only shoot one shot every few seconds, and then eventually it just gave me a busy message. I'm not really sure why this is since they both take the same amount of time to clear the buffer, but it was consistent during the few tests I did.

About 1.3 years ago I found Sandisk 8gig 95x cards at Best Buy on "clearance' for $19.99 and bought 2
They have NEVER failed me, my 6D doesn't need the speed, but copying my raw files through lightroom is a snap.
I don't shoot bust often but two 8 gig cards get me through a day of shooting, and I have a generic 16 gig as a backup in my gear bag.
