I preordered way back in first week of January from B&H and got in on the first wave.

As to the softness, don't judge the lens, I accidentally shot most of this series at F18 and auto ISO. That would have been fine on my 6d but tge 70d doesn't do real well in that 3200 iso range. The softness was sort of intentional in a couple of shots to make the water appear surreal and was a byproduct of noise reduction primarily.
If you want evidence of the sharpness this lens is capable of go to my Flickr account and look through the Tamron 150-600 set. Much better represented there.

I looked at your flickr gallery and there I see a lot of great and sharp examples taken with that lens. The leave pictures don't do any justice to the lens..lookes like a killer lens!
For myself I'm deciding between the Sigma 150-500 or the Tamron...hmmm...doesn't make it easy...

I have chosen the Sigma 150-500 but thats a deal i couldn't refuse the former owner
had used it twice and sold it for 350 euro. But the tamron is a good choice if you go for a new one.

So we are debating going to Thunder over Louisville tomorrow...my 70D and 70-300L are itching for some aircraft...has anyone else been there? I hear that it is crazy crowded and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on the best areas to park and to set up for the airshow.

JVthePT:

Thank you guys! Glad you like it!:)

MedicineMan4040: yes, spring is really beautiful here in Prague, but summer not so much:)

I´am so satisfied with 70D, i can shoot almost everything with this camera except.. oh well, shooting in total darkness would be awesome !:)

Some time ago I gave up playing with the EOS M and bought 70D instead. Everything (maybe except the portability) is better.

I couldn't be able to take these pics without live view and the ability to tilt the screen. These are taken from ground level and into the sun.

It will take A LOT of time before I try again a mirrorless ILC. This thing is so wonderful.

Received my 70D just in time for my trip to Utah.
Here are a few pictures I took on that trip:

I'm not sure which one I like best and if there is anything I can do to improve on them.
All suggestions are welcome.

In Bryce Canyon we were just in time see the snow coming in:
