A big welcome to the forum jholeana. I have pics of the Superbs and would have thought i would have posted some, but maybe i didn't? There are usually plenty at the AIS carpark.
It would be great to see you contribute to this thread.
If you need any info on birding spots in Canberra don't hesitate to ask, would be glad to provide help or even a tour of the wetlands if you like (i am out of town at the moment).
Anyway here is a Superb i took a while back at AIS.
Thanks for the welcome. I've always been interested in birds, having aviaries and breeding Australian natives since I was young. A number of house moves about 14 years ago saw me selling all my aviaries and birds and I have only just managed to get one more aviary up and running. I only have budgies at the moment, but will hopefully be able to get some more set up in the future, now that my kids are more independent and I actually have some time to myself on the weekends. I might also be able to devote some time to getting out into the reserves and doing a bit of photography work. I only have a 700D and the kit lenses - 18-55mm, 55-250mm and a 60mm macro lens I bought, so I'm a bit limited for anything in the distance, but will hopefully manage a lens upgrade and some proper classes in the future.
