Do people not think it is extremely rude to enter a sacred place in another country and totally ignore the wishes of their hosts?
I think a disrespectful attitude gives photographers a bad name, and can see it leading to more restrictions on photographers freedom.
It amazes me the amount of flashes that go off in there especially when it takes like 15-20min just to get to the center of this place and there are tons of signs that say "no flash photography" along the way. Amazing. So I don't blame them thinking yelling at me it's everyone's fault that keeps flashing on all this history. If you go visit the statue of David, they absolutely don't allow any camera in there for that reason, but with smartphones they do it anyway. Thanks to that we can't take any nice pics of it anymore.
