The gas mask is merely another photography cliche (this is no shot at Triton as I enjoy his photography, and at this point almost everything can be called cliche. My photostream is full of them). If you do a search for "Gas mask photography" you'll find a whole bunch of groups on it.

My top cliches are probably cat photos and "hand model" photos haha
