Bad idea in general. Temperature changes will change the focus slightly, so what is perfect during the summer may be significantly off in the winter.

Hmm. Something to think about. I'll just leave it as is for now.

6D users - Is there a lens profile for lightroom for this lens ?

I had a profile that worked great for my 5D2 but the person I sold the lens to has a 6D and is complaing about vignetting

The lens profile should be independent of the camera body it's on as long as the sensor size is the same (or maybe even then, depending on just how the calculations are done).

Is this a composite? Size relations seem off to me.

It took multiple shots to get the stars, light paint, etc, but I didn't move the camera and/or change the lens. Not sure why the size would be off but it was at 14mm?

Not in the typical sense. I take multiple exposures for specific parts of the images (stars, structures, light painting, etc) and then mask everything back together in CS6. Time consuming but it would be impossible to get this all in one exposure. Appreciate the comment!

That's just how the 14 behaves. Significantly wider than 17... You can really distort perspective very easily with the lens.
