The 1D III typically goes for around $150-$200 less than a 7D in the same condition, so go for it.

Here in the US, 1D III's go for $200-$300 more than a 7D... I got my mint 7D for $625... can't find a 1D III that's even close in condition for less than $950...

I almost traded my 1DMKIII for a 7D and cash last year.
So glad I did not trade it. That body is so awesome.
Still learning how to use it. Mine is in great shape with a low shutter count. Bought from an FM'er late in 2012.
That said....I am still in pursuit of a 7D and plan to keep both.

Wow that's crazy. I know 1 year ago 7D's were going for $750 here and 1D III's about $1000 and now a 7D goes for about $700 and 1D III ~$650. There are of course the rare times when the cameras sell for a bit cheaper and much more expensive, however.

Yeah, that's really nice. Good choice on shutter speed.

Very nice Rene. Just something about the files from the mark iii that have that "look" to them. You've captured that here.

Love the layering of the purple mountains. Great exposure.
