awesome shots guys! my 6d is sitting in the bag for a few months now... dont have time to go out. :(
once i a while i take a few shots of the room to see if it still works. and i bought it for timelapse, landscapes, night sky photography. i need to quit my job or something, otherwise it will rust with under 10k shots taken, which is sad.

need to be motivated, and thats why im coming to potn! soon, soon ill get my mojo back and start going out shooting again and posting pics!

Just picked up my own 6d , I've had one a few times on loan from canon... Love it. Look forward to posting a few images here in future.

5d2 is relegated to backup duties until I get an A7r.

Glad to see you back! A7r. Interesting! We'll have to talk about that sometime!

That seems to be a great lens for $5

Yeah, I was very pleasantly surprised. The best thing is that it's tiny and light as can be, it also has a built in hood :) it'll be the perfect throw in bag telephoto for my Fuji.

I love the low-light performance of the 6D. Here's a shot from a recent vacation in Sydney, Australia. This was taken handheld, leaning against a lamp post. I used my favorite all-purpose lens, the 24-105mm IS L. Shot taken at 1/25 sec., f/4, ISO 12,800. Up close, there is a fair amount of noise, lessened somewhat in Lightroom - but I'm pleased with the results given the circumstances and settings.

Got it in the mail today...in LOVE again. I like the compact design...can't wait to try this out with astro hopefully within the next week or so. Feels like a solid camera too :)

I always love your work, Jon. I need to find a good location for portraits around me. Were those all natural light?

Thanks Lucas! You, too! Yup! I tried a few with my Yongnuo but they looked too senior photo-ish. The golden sunset worked just fine.

Anybody here use a 40mm pancake with their 6d?

I've been trying a bit of street stuff recently, I love my 85mm for the portraits I've been doing, but feel I could do with something a little wider.

Looked at the 35mm f/2, but it's about £400 - the 40mm is only £110.

Anybody any experience with this combo?

Very cool. I tend to get hung up fretting over flash too, still have a lot to learn in that regard, and I always love a great natural light portrait :)

It's a very popular lens with the 6D crowd. I might pick one up again now that I sold my 35/2 just to have it in the bag. I highly recommend the old 35/2 non-IS too btw, they can be had for the same price as the 40mm and are just as strong optically imo only a stop faster, a little bigger and a lot louder when focusing.

Yea, I'd noticed they'd been discontinued. Not averse to buying second hand. Also looked at the 50mm 1.4.
