Can it focus close? also should I get a Canon or Nikon version? I assume Nikon version I can control aperture via the lens? What about Canon version? Yes very sharp, suprised me too be honest. I have a Sigma 85mm F1.4 aswell and its very close to that. Doesnt focus that close, probably about a metre. I only got the Canon version because I have a host of Canon lenses to use on the Metabones, but I imagine the Nikon version will be exactly the same. Canon 5D Mark 3, Olympus OM-D, Sony A7r with lots of toys to go with them

Its ok, i hope Canon will produce nicer version of TS-E with AF, that will be something i really want to use much, either TS-E 15mm or 20mm. Nice shots! Galleries:

navydoc Cream of the Crop More info | Just as I was setting up to shoot my first Brenizer method image, I had a visitor so I quickly switched back to raw to get this image. This was also shot at f1.8 using my Canon 85mm f1.8 lens. Morning hummer For the heck of it, I also cropped the original to 100%. smythie I wasn't even trying More info | Apr 19, 2014 21:51 | #525 absolutic wrote in post #16845344 How is your Samyang in comparison to my all-time-favorite 85, the cream machine Nikkor 85 1.4D? I don't know. only have an 85/1.8D to compare. haven't yet though as the Samyang is so much easier to focus with.
