Thank you. I missed the sticker when I checked in the battery compartment.

You're welcome.

my 622 triggers have a QC sticker that says QC 2014 and the line is drawn to the 3. So I am guessing March 2014...

Just bought 6 Yongnuo 622C triggers. Two of them have QC marks 2014 - 2 the remainder 4 have QC 2014-1.
Neither of them work correctly with my 1dx in ETTL mode, where both groups B and C seem to stay at full power no matter the ratio / FEC setting.

Have tested both with 600EX-RT and 5870EXII and results are the same. Using just the optical wireless mode, i.e. wo the 622s, works fine. Using the 622s in manual mode all 3 groups adjust levels as expected also.
Have performed most of the same test on my old 1dIII which also seem to work without any issues..

The big question therefore is, has the 1dx issue really been fixed ?. I've browsed this thread and several others but have not stumbled over any users from own experience confirming the issue to be fixed ..

Thus if anybody has seen such a report please pass a link.. and how were the QC sticker of these units marked ?

official response from tech support YN:

Hi,
Thanks for your email.
Use 622C+1DX without turning on wireless flash mode, every function will work normally. If wireless flash mode is turned on, they works normally in M mode; however, at this time, if the flash mode is set into ETTL mode and Group B or Group C participate into exposure, it will over-exposed (that is to say, in wireless flash TTL, the way to avoid this abnormal phenomenon, you should set all the flash into Group A).
Note: The problem doesn't exist in YN-622C which produced after Feb. 2014.

If you use 622C+1DX+YN565, it will be over-exposed. There is no solution for this problem yet.

Best regards,

YONGNUO

However, some users have the problems similar to yours. One user told me that 1DX+YN-622C(with date 03.2014) do not work correctly as well as earlier.

Thanks a lot iituner

Do you know if the users reporting similar problems are using 622c triggers produced before or after Feb. 2014 ?

Also since it would be quite troublesome for vendors of the triggers to open the packaging to inspect the QC-label marking - have you seen any info on serial number ranges corresponding to the production runs after feb 2014 .. since serial numbers are labeled on the packaging it would be much easier to check ?

I do not work for Yongnuo. I'm a regular user. And I do not own 1DX.

I have previously reported on the existing problems of compatibility with 1DX, which are described in the message from YN tech support .
I got only one review that YN-622C(March 2014) is still not working properly, despite the fact that the firmware was changed in February .
I have not yet received the other reviews, so I can neither confirm or deny the words of this person.
I have no other information

Sorry for my bad English.

Second the suggestion to contact FlashZebra.com. They'll help you find the exact cable you need.

I want to trigger two flashes, one on the hotshoe (with 622-c) and one offcamera. But the one on the camera is not firing. So what do I have to do to fire both?

Go into your 5DII external flash menus and set Master Flaxh to Enable.

I apologize if this has been answered in the previous 224 pages:

Does the 622 that's serving as the transmitter on camera require a extra mounting plate or adapter or something?

In all the pictures I see of it, the hotshoe (female side) is visible on the 622, but I don't see how a unit mounts to the camera hotshoe.

Thanks.

Disregard my question above. I found a consumer photo where it shows the underside of the unit with the "male" hotshoe connector.

My friend and I were shooting an event the other day and he borrowed one of my trigger to used with his triggers. All are YN-622C.
For some reasons, it wasnt working properly.
His triggers were on his camera and a YN 568EX. My trigger was on a YN-458 or some YN-4XX.
All on same channel and group.
The one on my trigger, the YN-4XX, flashes when we pressed the test button. But it doesnt flash when using the camera.
The YN-568EX flashes all the time.
What would be the reason for it??

^^^ I've got one trigger that does the same thing when used as remote. Will work as transmitter on the camera though.

I had this issue when I first picked mine up (used). Thinking I got ripped off with a defective unit, I tried the others I bought and were all good. Went back to the "defective" one, and found out that I hadn't seated the transceiver onto the camera as flush as it should be (it moved off the hot shoe slightly as I was tightening the unit). So my contribution to this (assuming you hadn't done it already) is to reseat the transceiver onto the camera hot shoe, tighten, and try again.
