Despite the horrendous heat, I was able to get some pretty good pictures. Lucky for me, Miller Park's camera rules were pretty relaxed. These were with my 5d Mark II and Canon 200mm L.

you had much better location and shooting opportunities than credentialed shooters...i shot Macca at Fenway a few summers ago and while the stage was in center field, the shooters were put at around 2nd base. so i ended up renting a 500mm lens for the shoot, which still wasn't long enough w/ a FF camera for tight shots.

and we got two songs (about 6 min, for "Drive My Car" and "Jet") to shoot.

i like that flag one quite a bit.

Wow, fantastic shots.

I have yet to show up to a venue and be allowed to bring in a camera with interchangeable lens.

Lol. I was thinking the same thing: Sir John flying the stars and strips seems a bit odd.

Wonderful photos though.

Yeah, I'll second (third and forth?) that flag one being awesome. Well done!

I was quite lucky. Of course after the fact I thought what if I would have brought a longer lens... At one point everyone sat down and I was center stage and I could just see him looking at me. I thought for sure I was done for!

Thanks! Paul almost always carries the flag of the country he is in so I'd have to travel a bit for that one... :)
