Hello all,

currently i have a 5d classic with two fixed lenses.
100m 2.8
50m 1.8

I'm a big fan of how sharp these lenses are, but i am, needing a lens that is a zoom lens for the range between the two lenses.

I do work for a company that does a lot of indoor events, and it gets frustrating to have to keep changing lenses.

Im looking for a lens thats as sharp as my fixed focal length lenses, but is also a zoom lens.
a low fstop helps too

is there a lens out there like this?

24-70 f/2.8 II should do the trick.

there's also the original 24-70mm f2.8...and the 24-70f4IS...

or if you can survive with f4 there's the Canon or Sigma 24 - 105 which would pretty much fit perfectly into covering every option you could need.

Canon Rebel XS gripped, Canon 18 - 55mm, Sigma 18 - 200mm f3.5 - f6.3 DC OS HSM,Sigma 50mm f1.4 Olympus TG-810 Tough, LowePro Classified 160AW, Canon 430EX II Flash, Kata E-702

If the 50mm and the 100mm do it for you, you could get a second 5Dc for the cheapest option. Then no lens switching is needed.

Otherwise the Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 VC is a great option.

As far as recent Canon lenses:

28-135 IS - get it used for as little as $225 - very good lens on full frame in good light - not so good on crop

24-70 f/4 L

24-105 f/4 L

All good choices

I have both a 24-70 2.8 II and 24-105L for sale. PM me if interested. If you're not interested in those, the Tamron 24-70, may be something to look at.

I have never thought the 24-105 IS was prime sharp. I ma not sure how much that matters to you. The only zooms IMHO that rival a prime are the 24-70 f/2.8 II and the 70-200 f/2.8 IS II.
