Aloha,

Now that we can use LR on the ipad, any hope of reversing the no tablet sales rule in the classifieds?

"Please note that we allow only photography-related items for sale.

Tablets, phones and PDA's are NOT in that category so selling them here is not allowed.

We do allow selling monitors, laptops and computers, i.e. fully-fledged image/video editing and storage tools for photographers.

This policy might change in the future when the world evolves. Until then it is not up to debate."

I only ask because I want to buy one =)

Lyle

I know, but Lightroom for the ipad is a new development, one that makes them a photographic tool now, no different than a laptop.

Yeah, and it's not like the iPhone is the most used camera in the world either, with tons of accessories available for it relating specifically to photography.

Does it work on all iPads?
How do you get the images from the camera to the iPad?
I ask because I do not own one. How about Android?

Lightroom for iPad compatibility: Requires iOS 7.0 or later.
That's pretty much iPad 2nd generation and later.

Will Lightroom mobile support Android devices?
An Android version of Lightroom mobile will not be available at release, but is in development.

You use an adapter to load pics on to iPad. I think with many Android devices you can load the SD card directly. More and more cameras have wi-fi option these days, so pics can transfer that way as well. Getting photos on to a tablet is not much of a limitation at this point.

It also syncs with the Lightroom on your computer, so any edits you make on either show up on the other device, via wifi I presume. Pretty cool.

There are many for sale on FM where they have a separate section devoted to selling tablets and phones, etc.
