Art series lenses have no AF problems. They're amazing! They're the only third party line I'd recommend.

Why have to worry about getting some usb dock to try and fix AF problems?

And dammit, I was on that site at 11 PM just browsing. and now that 24L is gone.

Got in on the 600EX-RT.. had been wanting to add a 6th one to my set-up so that was cool. Had the 50L in my cart but felt that it was a lukewarm deal for a refurb so I passed on it.

Why buy a 50L when the sigma 50 art is out!

Cause I've used the 50L and really like it. While I haven't used the 50 Art, its not even out yet other than the pre-order.

Not that anyone's obsessively monitoring their stock :D but it was in stock on Friday at 11 AM ET. They restocked everything on Friday morning (which, by the way, is #1 sign they're about to have a sale, and I totally didn't clue in). They had 3 70-200 IIs in stock. Then they sold out at regular price $1999.20 even before the sale started.

BTW, thanks again CPW for the notification on the sale and instock tracker, since Canons own notification system never works no matter how many times I sign up for it.

I did the opposite when I switched from crop to full frame. So far I'm liking it.

Some of my feedback

Get both. Play a lot with both. Sell the one you think you won't use as much. Problem solved, right?

It might be easier to explain to the wife than to find them both in stock at the same time during a refurb sale.

If you sold one then what's the problem? Or is the problem you can't force yourself to let one of them go? ;)

Snagged a 35 f/2 IS to try for $440 after taxes, but used 3% mr rebates to bring it back down some.

Looking forward to trying it out and replacing my 35L as a low cost replacement.
