probably a gamble with beach camera, but they are an authorized dealer..so even if you get a broken camera you should be able to get it fixed or replaced for free....I may jump on this

They had the same deal non-refurb for $50 more a couple weeks ago. That was a USA model.

Is this really that good if a deal? A few weeks ago they had brand new ones for $1,949. I'm curious because was looking to get in on a good 6d deal too.

Refurb from canon direct is 1599 for the body only including tax. Kit on amazon, BH and other retailers (new) is 2499.

If you sell the 24-105 for 600 bucks, then you get a 6d body for 1300. That's 300 cheaper than a refurb from canon direct, and 500 cheaper than a new 6d body on amazon other other retailer.

So in my opinion, yes, it's a good deal.

Assuming it doesn't take weeks to arrive, or arrive defective.

Are both the lens and the body refurbished or is it just the body? Some people care a lot about whether something is refurbished or not.

Hmm they have a lot of positive ratings. The negative ones, however, state that sometimes they ship the wrong items, or items arriving late, or the lack of communication. I need a camera in 3 weeks. I wonder if that's long enough of a turn around. Also, what happens if it arrives damaged or defective? That would take too long and I would be without a camera. Guess I'll have to sleep on this one.

bought several things from them on ebay, by far the fastest shipping I've experienced. Bought a camera at about 2:00pm on a Friday and it was at my door at 9:00am Saturday!

Also, just noticed they're including Lightroom 5 in the deal.

Multiple purchases from Beach Camera on eBay and their website. Always quick shipping and never a problem of any kind.

Most recent item: Lens ordered Tuesday night Apr. 1
Shipped from New Jersey Wednesday afternoon Apr. 2
Arrived in western Kentucky Friday Apr. 4
Free ground shipping doesn't get any better than this.
