I am eagerly looking for a 'Lens Sample Photo Archive' thread for this lens :)
The one for 35mm Art came up quickly and helped a lot of us in making the buying decision, despite all the talk about focus issues in artificial light. Nothing speaks like a bunch of good pictures!

I spoke to a rep from B & H. Sigma does have a large supply of lens. However, the manufacture will only release a small quantity of lens at one time. The reason is purely a marketing strategy. It keeps the lens "new" longer, and makes the lens more desirable. Expect the first shipment in the early part of this week.

My only question about this lens is whether it will nail focus in very dark conditions like the Canon 50L can. No other 50mm lens I've used can nail focus in the dark like the 50L. Otherwise, it looks like a winner.

Anyhing 1.4 on a 6d or 5d3 should not have much problem in lower light. Isn't that more of a body thing than a lens thing (other than max ap. to help the body) ?

Here it is:

minor editing done

I must say, I am very satisfied with the lens. It didn't do any misfocus issues that people are exaggerating. Now to all you people who are about to buy this, go and buy it! hahaha

I'm sure you'll gonna enjoy this lens. I'm feeling kinda selfish already, I don't want everyone to have this lens

Holy awesomeness!!!

Well, there goes the "crappy not dreamy bokeh" argument on the this or 50L thread:shock:

I was cool before, but Now I am going to start getting impatient:lol:
