I bought this kit. Hopefully there will be no issues. I have to admit reading some of the negative feedback scared me, such as them over selling items that they didn't have, and people having to wait almost two months to get their refund.

We shall see...

Anyone wanna buy a 24-105 L? lol

Beach is Buydig.com. I never had a problem buying from them, however YMMV.

wellp, got my kit. Good deal. Came in the normal box, not a white refurb box or anything. Camera shutter count was 0 (i'm not sure if they just reset the count after refurbishing or if it was just never used)

Center point focus accuracy/consistency is current in question (strangely the outer ones seem fine)...I'll have to play around with it more when I get home...it would suck if I had to send this in to canon already, but at least it was a great price.

Fed ex came while I was at work, left a door tag. Called to see if they'd hold it at the facility so I could grab it at lunch...said they can't without senders approval. Emailed Beach, haven't heard back yet. What a pain in the ass!

Can anyone provide me with their transaction ID or names? I called Beach camera and they told me they haven't shipped out any of those orders yet which I find hard to believe since some of you got yours in already.

Nvm, got it resolved.

Mine came and it wasn't in a white canon refurb box like refurbs usually do, it's in a regular kit box.

How interesting. Is there a pinprick/hole in the serial number plate? That's how Canon refurbished bodies are designated. Also, is there a red dot on the lens mount flange of the lens?

If not, this might be a new body & lens?

Just checked, no pin prick/hole in the serial number plate and not red dot on the lens mount flange of the lens:D

Then it's definitely not manufacturer refurbished.

Might be a way to get around MAP, as there's no MAP for refurbished items. :)

Could be, but I'm also thinking it could have been "reseller refurbished" (i.e. a return that they've resold, not official Canon refurbished), but the eBay listing does says explicitly "Manufacturer refurbished".

dennisgibson, how pristine were the accessories in the box?

Agreed. That's what I was talking with another member about a few days ago. I believe you are right.
