Just remembered, I used to have a Tokina 17mm f/3.5. AE and AF. Decent lens, if I recall correctly, just kind of heavy, built like a tank.

Sony A7R and Zeiss 18mm f3.5 ZE at ISO 400. 1/125s @ f8. Those streaks are raindrops. What caught my eye was the tiny slice of the center area was better than some surveillance images I've seen. You can get by without a giant telephoto... Canons to the left, Canons to the right,

A video company advertised on the forum for the Daytona State College photo school (one of the nation's best) that they had several lenses for sale. All gone, now. I bought most of their Zeiss glass, and tested the Leica glass on my Sony A7r. The guy selling was planning on switching from Canon cameras to some other brand. My Sony results with the Leitz 24mm gave him pause. I believe he changed his mind about selling the Leica stuff. Canons to the left, Canons to the right,

I went for a recumbent trike ride today on the beach and around town using the Sony A7R, Metabones Canon adapter and the Zeiss 18mm ZE lens. If it looks as if there is some vignetting, I wouldn't be surprised-- I had a UV and a CPL filter on the lens. These are JPGs, straight out of the camera. ISO 400 and f8 were the setting, shutter speed varied. ![]() ![]() IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/nuDQy1 ![]() ![]() ![]() IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/nNVZpc ![]() ![]() ![]() IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/nuEsSc ![]() ![]() ![]() IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/nuDUpt ![]() ![]() ![]() IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/nLRCyn ![]() ![]() ![]() IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/nLYMi3 ![]() ![]() ![]() IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/nLYSnG ![]() ![]() ![]() Canons to the left, Canons to the right,
