For what you are shooting, I would go with the 6D.

with 3 grand I would get a used tamron 70-200 2.8. So that's 1k, then I would get the Paul c. Buff busy bee kit. That's 1300 and would be 3 lights stands and modifiers. So I would have about 700 left, I would use that for marketing and buying some custom usb sticks to hand out with my logo.

I would add a 6D to my kit and have two bodies to choose from. You can get a refurb from Canon Direct for $1291 right now. On the CLP you should be able to get that down to less than $1100. Then you have almost $2k to go on a trip and use your new camera. :-)
