Just for fun, I compared the EF-M 22 vs the EF 24L II @ The Digital Picture.com
It was very enlightening to say the least
CLICK HERE (external link)to see the comparison yourself. The EF-M loses in CA and vignetting but looks as good or better otherwise. And fixing CA and vignetting are 2 button clicks in DPP ;) Besides, I would expect a full frame lens to exhibit less vignetting than a crop-specific lens.
As you stop down the EF-M keeps pulling into the lead. Wow. I did not expect that. I knew the lens was good but I didn't think it was THAT good!
Anyway, I've had the M for almost a year now. Here's one of my favorites with it:

22mm is the main reason to own the M!

yeah, I have the 18-55 as well but I think I've used it only once. ( wouldn't mind selling it if anyone was interested )

If I could get the 22mm on my big canon I'd sell the M super quick.

I like it better than my 50mm 1.4, so much that I'm even thinking of selling my 50 since I rarely use it compared to my M's 22mm.

I also snuck my M into a concert last night ( one of the main reasons I bought it, as most venues are okay with point and shoot cameras )
had the 22mm on it, and the stage was pretty close to the barrier, and I was about 3 rows of people back, excited to see how they turned out as I've never tried any type of concert photography before.

I bought the EOS M +22mm when it dropped under $400 because I've always wanted a sub $500 wider fast prime for my 60D. Figured this was the best way to get it.

I wouldn't sell the 50mm because that's so much better for outdoor portraits or indoor half-body or bust type portraits. If you shoot those kind of pics, hang on to the 50. 22mm makes you get too close and distorts and for full body shots, if you have the room, 50mm f1.4 can give like 3-4x the subject isolation.

It was on the ad. Went to the guy who sold it. He went from his job to meet up with me, we decided the price 150 USD, but then had a problem. He did not find the receipt with the warranty that expires in October 2014 so we agreed on a cheaper price and then it became 110 USD :) nice camera for the small amount

amazing camera for the small amount.

Yesterday Budwirser had a free concert series, ( free beer, food, and music )

Got the M in no problem ( in a venue notorious for banning DSLR's and any camera that looks like anything other than a point and shoot )

Shot with the 22mm lens at 2.0 not too bad. Was about 3 rows of people back ( slight cropping and straightening ) I didn't use it much for the main act since people were going nuts and I didn't want it to get knocked out of my hand )

Probably my favorite shot, but the guy who gets paid to do this stuff got in my way.

I took it to a post hardcore/pop punk/metalcore festival once, don't know how I didn't lose it! Circle pits, wall of deaths and hundreds of crowd surfers. The hand strap probably saved it, normally I don't use one.

All with the 22mm 2.0(some are cropped), wish I could have taken my 135 but with the adapter it's huge and would have got me kicked out.
