These are my first panning shots. The first one is 1/125 and the second at 1/80. Hard to get them right but super fun and they look so good when you nail it.

Need to get some ND so the aperture doesn't go so high. I'm sure they will look even better then. How many of you use a polarizer to cut the glare off the road surface. Does it work very well? The road surface was really badly bleached out. The salt air and sunshine deteriorate everything along the gulf coast.

Good job Griz! I use a CP filter almost everytime I go outside. I have never really seen that it cuts glare on the road surface (but I'm sure it does) but it evens out the exposure a bit between light and dark and helps kill reflections in the paint and glass.

I use a CP and sometimes an ND if the light is too much. CP works very well to increase contrast in the asphalt, especially to bring out tire marks. Shooting at a larger aperture also helps to smooth out the background.
