[QUOTE=It's Falsterbo church, Joe. And yes, a beautiful altar piece, but the whole of Scania is crawling with beautiful medieval churches like this, so I really didn't think about it until you mentioned it :-)

Thanks, Stefan...
The history of Scania is so rich and has drawn from a wonderful mix of periods (and kingdoms). What a neat place to be a photographer!

Thank you. Thus far so good, i came from a 550d, so the bigger viewfinder, more solid feel, and setting customizations are all big wins for me. Right now the only thing i wish it had was a newer better res rear screen!

Yep, the screen takes some getting used to, and you can't really appreciate the quality of your images until you get them on your computer, but after awhile you adjust to it.

Congratulations on your new camera. I think you will like it a lot. Sure, there are some limitations (due to the age of the model - sort of like a vintage sports car - older but capable and a beautiful performer).

Keep shooting...Joe

Thanks Joe!

So far so good. I just wish that the lcd was a little better and I wish there was a way to make the display brighter in the viewfinder....like the info? The viewfinder itself is bright, it's just hard to see the info screen at the bottom in bright light. Maybe it's just me.

But yea, I love it so far. Got some great shots thus far.

Here are two more-

Rolfe, those are swell shots. I tried every one of my few lenses and like all the results.
The viewing screens are tough in bright daylight, and surely not up to the later cameras. That is, in an odd way, part of the fun. I have an old Leica, belonged to my Dad, from the 1930's, and it is a pain in the neck, and finding film is not always easy, but...like going to an antique car show.
Here are a couple taken with the little fifty mm lens, what a bargain that lens is.

Wow, very nice!

Yea, the canon 50 1.8 is a very sweet deal.

I do prefer my Yashica 1.9....I think its a tad bit sharper, but it's still a good deal at ~$99.

I took a bunch today with my Minolta Rokkor-x 1.4 Of course it's soft at 1.4, but stopped down it's good and the bokeh is quite creamy.

Ill post some tomorrow after pp.

Btw- I have family down in Metarie. I love NO. Don't get to visit enough. Probably my fav city outside NYC.

You can adjust the LCD brightness via the Menu, you scroll up/down -- it's the item right before the Date/Time setting.

I was testing the 5d as I hadn't used it in years and was going to sell it, but man... I still love the files out of this thing! Maybe more than the MkIII even.

Ya the LCD is bright enough, I just wish the res was a little better, im used to the 550d. That's a nice screen. Basically I didn't always need to zoom in to check details on the 550d, but I find myself questioning shots and having to really look, but it's ok!

What I wish was brighter, was the display info inside the viewfinder.

That's why I just bought this. It was recommended to me from someone who has had the 5d, Mark II and III and said the 5d still hangs with them.

So I got one!
