I am looking for a larger and more comfortable backpack for camera gears and a 15" laptop. The only one I have found so far that seems to fit what I need is the tamrac expedition 8x. Are there any other similar backpacks? I do not mind no-name brands.

I am a Think Tank Photo Streetwalker believer. The HD version is great for camera gear plus laptop. The regular and Pro versions are great for camera gear minus laptop. They really counterbalance weight to make a heavy load seem like it vanished. Canon EOS enthusiast

It's a bulletproof line of bags. The only problem is that you're tempted to load the 8X up so much that the weight becomes a problem to carry for any length of time. Jay

I believe is it being clearanced out since case logic has replaced it in their lineup with a newer model. This pack gets nice reviews on Amazon where it goes for $120. I have this one and it is stout, strong and can take a beating when traveling. I stuff it full and the weight is the only issue. I will carry everything in my sig but the 800mm in it and holds up fine. can't go wrong with this bag. It will carry so much gear that it gets uncomfortably heavy. I can't remember finding it on the Lowepro web page. It might be discontinued and I just purchased old stock. I don't know. A very well built bag.
