I have probably 6 lenses that each are worth more than my 2 cars put together.

What we really need is cash for lens upgrades instead of clunkers.

I quite liked the L lenses for clunkers idea!

sorry to bring up an old thread, but any updates or any other bad reviews about this lens, besides, size, cost and amount of space required for a full body shot?

thx!

Just be aware that there is an issue with this lens on your 5D3 if you buy an older copy. The lens can be returned to Canon FOC for an update....there is a problem with noise when the IS kicks in or spools down.

If you're buying new then you shouldn't worry. I bought shortly after the IS issue and I did receive an updated version.

Agreed. This is my goto lens for basketball. It will tire you out, but it also captures images that are beautiful!

I'd take the pile of lenses I could buy for the price of that car, over the car any day; a $5k used car is fine for me to carry $30k of lenses around in...

It won't cook you breakfast or pick up your shirts from the cleaners.

May be your lens have a problem, send it to Canon, they will fix it, mine cook very well and iron my clothes too
