I know that my Tamron 24-70 rotates opposite of my Canon zooms when using the zoom ring
i was wondering what the Sigma zooms do are they the same rotation as the Canon or are the the same as the Tamron's thank you.

It depends on the lens-

My 17-50 2.8 OS and 50-150 2.8 OS rotate in Canon-style (wide to tele).
My 18-35 1.8 and 8-16 4.5-5.6 rotate reverse Canon-style (tele to wide).

The old versions of the 50-500mm (non IS) and 70-200mm f/2.8 EX (circa 2004 ish) were both opposite direction for zoom. I don't recall if the focus direction was different.

Looks like it's the same as a Canon lens.

I have three sigma zooms and I've had them for years. And without opening the back and getting the lenses out I couldn't tell you which ones rotate which direction. I really don't think it matters.

I am serious....and don't call me Shirley.
Canon 7D and a bunch of other stuff

Well coming from the EFS 18-135, it is amazing in comparison, only had it since Tuesday, my test pics confirm what I read by others, sharpest at F5.6. It is quiet, quick to focus, nice construction, my first thoughts were "this is a sexy lens", fit, finish and machine of metal are perfect. The zoom is stiff compared to canon, no way it will creep. At 82mm it looks like a canon. The lense and my 70D weigh in at 3lb 13 oz or 1732 g.

These are just quick test shot, in no way planned pics or good pic
