Can someone point me to a tutorial or instructions on what size etc for pics and an easy way to upload? From hard drive or from Flickr?

Thanks,

uploading 750-850 pixels across long edge is usually best...
do you have image editing software installed - and if so what?

do you want to know how to post to Flickr - or how to post to POTN from Flickr?

if posting from Flickr - you need to click on 'Share' - and you need to grab the size of BBC code you want.

Got up early today to head out to the river to shoot some birds. When I got there I realized that I left both of my TCs at home. I wasn't very happy... So I just shot with the bare lens on the 70D.

Here are some shots, most of them heavily cropped.

All of them shot with my Sigma 120-300 2.8 OS, all shot at 300mm wide open f/2.8.
I missed the focus a bit in the last shot, it was my fault.

Fantastic work Gabe!

My editing software is Photogene used on an iPad  it is one of the better ones I have used and until I replace my laptop that is what I am stuck with.

Wanted to know how to post from Flickr to POTN I was grabbing the URL, obvs that wasn't working now that I know what I am looking for BBC code I should be able to figure it out. I am assuming it will give me a choice as to the size? If so, when I upload to Flickr from my editing software is it best to leave the size as is and just resize from Flickr? Thanks for your help, I am new to Flickr.

Many including myself use flickr as free backup - so you could upload your full sized images and you have the option of various sizes to share here. I usually go with 850px long

I've passed this old wool shed a few times. The light not ideal today, but decided to take some shots anyway, as don't venture this way often. I walked down a track, and hoped to be able to get all around the building, but there was an electric fence there - and I don't argue with electric fences :-)

Wow !! Thank you. I quite like some of the ones where I've done faux HDR using Lightroom, but really was disappointed with the original shots. So thank you :-)

^^^ I like the last one... would hang that on my wall... thumbs up...

i like the first one next but the pole on the left is a bit distracting...
then the 2nd one...

wide full body buildings with detail can be a pain and hard to capture.. think you did a fine job!

Interesting - my pick as well. I did wonder about taking that pole out, but since I didn't rate the image particularly - decided I wouldn't bother :-) Maybe I'll have a try tomorrow night. Thanks so much for your feedback :-)

Another set of great photographs from everyone. Several of you inspire me..... I won't lie... there are a few other feelings that crop up there as well. ;)

It is obvious to me that I need to work on my post processing skills as much as I need to work on using my cameras/lenses to their full potential.
