Is there any gatherings coming up soon? Would love to meet local members (even just for coffee).

Next Saturday, there is a Fire Dancing Expo at Union Square in SF.
It starts at 8:00 I believe.
I'll be there early as I need to pick up my photographers all access pass and the ticket for my reserved seat.

If all the photogs who signed up don't show up, they will hand out the passes first come first served to those who ask.

Note: Just because you don't have a pass, doesn't mean you can't shoot.
The pass just gives me access back stage etc.

Here's a little teaser for you. None of these were taken at the expo.

I need help. Where exactly are these houses (external link)? (the photo isn't mine). Just in case the link does not take you to the correct photo, it's a picture of colorful (painted ladies) houses in Haight - Ashbury neighborhood.

I've looked at Haight - Ashbury area through Google street view but I don't see any house that looks exactly like those. Could they be renovated/repainted?

Try 111 Central

Kevin Goto
I prefer Pachelbels lesser known work, Canon in L and the 99 cent menu club.

Those homes are at the address Kevin posted above. Off the corner of Central Ave and Haight. The images that are posted of them have the saturation boosted so they look much more vibrant that they are in real life. A friend of mine lives a few blocks away on Broderick.

Bingo. Thank you very much, Kevin. I scroll through Haight and Ashbury in all directions. No wonder I didn't see them.

Yeah, I notice the increase in saturation. They look nice though.

If you want to see the famous Painted Ladies (aka Seven Sisters), Go to Alamo Park on Steiner and Hayes. Those are the homes shown in the opening scenes of the TV show Full House with a view of downtown in the background ;)

Yeah, I already found that spot earlier when searching for the "painted ladies". The houses at 111 Central are the ones I was having problem finding.

Alamo park is definitely worth a visit. I've seen several photos of the 7 sisters from POTN members. Beautiful. Thanks for your recommendation, Dan.
