Another set of great photographs from everyone. Several of you inspire me..... I won't lie... there are a few other feelings that crop up there as well.

It is obvious to me that I need to work on my post processing skills as much as I need to work on using my cameras/lenses to their full potential.

bah who wants the pressure of being the best anyways...

Thanks, some of them are from the XSI before the 70D. The moose, snowie and seagull all with 70D. I just signed up to Flickr and randomly loaded some pics I am hoping to organize it this weekend into separate albums.

Question, when looking at the EXIF on Flickr it does not display all info, is it because it did not transfer over from my editing software because I see it from my editing software.

Got up early today to head out to the river to shoot some birds. When I got there I realized that I left both of my TCs at home. I wasn't very happy... So I just shot with the bare lens on the 70D.

Here are some shots, most of them heavily cropped.

I started doing birds recently, and I wonder if you could post a few of those shots before cropping? I do not have such a great lens like yours, but I would still like to see how much cropping is realistic to get decent results.

Nice ones Rose, indeed the last one is master and timeless
Rose was there a road to the farm it would give you a wider perspective and a leading line to the farm.

Really like the angle of that last - I wonder how they got into to the paddock - there was a hot wire on it the other day when I was there. and I don't argue with those.

@Rose: the last I like the best of the serie..as Richard mentioned including a road would give the photo something extra.

A participant in the annual Senior Day Tractor parade held in Bethel each year. It is held on the last day of school for the high school seniors and they line up and drive tractors, atv's lawn mowers, golf carts, etc. to school for graduation rehearsal.

I had the opportunity to shoot a charity golf tournament last week. For the web submissions I just used SOOC shots and haven't had the chance to PP anything until now.

Someone earlier had asked about SOOC shots and I think the 70D does a great job. If I had time to do them all, in my PP n00bishness, I might have been able to do better than the camera, but it would have taken for.ev.er.

So, just for comparison, I'll post links to the SOOC shots after posting my edits.

Here's the first of them - a shot from the clubhouse before everybody started off.

... C&C very welcome, as I'm still not confident post processing my RAW files. The camera still beats me on occasion, always looking for tips to improve.

Here's a link to the tournament post, in case anyone wants to see what it did SOOC for the whole day.

both are good attempts, although a few points on the Water Hazard image:
- your sky looks good and natural - but be careful of the color of water in the 'Hazard' - it is discolored and un-natural (compare to your sooc.)

- there is blue color fringing in the trees (compare to your sooc)
