I just found out today I was selected for this exhibit at the SoHo Gallery in New York. It was a juried show and only 40 images were chosen from over 2000. The opening is July 1 if you are in New York.

Heres the info..

Does anyone know of any similar competitions?

Even did a comparison of it against the Fuji X-T1:

Saw this earlier today; not a bad history for just a piece of jewelry.

I take it you saw the limited edition 100th anniversary ‘case’ including a Monochrome and a fully mechanical film M, both with external parts made of stainless steel. Also included are three Summilux lenses (28, 35, 50). Should be affordable only to industrial tycoons, lottery winners, and hedge fund managers.

WTF is Leica thinking. People that by the MM are usually the type that don't want all the crap.

Found another reason to love my leica tonight.

Was working with a print journalist, TV Journalist and a TV Camera operator.
Before the interview the "cammo" and i were discussing the plan, and i wound up shooting first with the SLR, then he would start the interview.
He asked "you cant turn the shutter noise off can you ?" To which i responded "nope, theres a mirror flapping up and down in there, its a mechanical noise, not a speaker" and "i do have another camera which is a lot quieter"
So we did a few tests, and i was able to shoot with the M during the interview without ruining his audio.

Now i need a 90 or 135 - 50mm was a bit too short, but with the M's 24mp, accurate focusing and great lens, i could crop quite heavily and still maintain quality

TL;DR - M240 is quiet, didnt ruin audio during TV interview
