once you go 5D, you'll look to replace the UWA ;)

+1 - highly likely.

At lower isos, much better color rendition, contrast, raw files, better bokeh, even from the nifty fifty, ect.

My boy's 3rd bday is coming up, and I was just looking through photos from the delivery room - he was born a few subway stops away from B&H, so I decided to swing down and pick up a nifty 50. It was a good decision -

Now I just have to figure out where those three years went...

Bill is my name - I'm the most wanted man on my island, except I'm not on my island, of course. More's the pity.

Yeah. Mine are 27 and 24. Where did THAT time go? What a beautiful mother and child that you have photographed well.

Seeing all the great adventure shots, I almost did not bring out this one, but....the little squirrel looks very annoyed and "dangerous" so .....a small front yard adventure.

If this is true, then its a good thing and bad thing. Good bc I can consolidate my glass, bad bc I just bought the UWA :(. However I may still keep it and use its distorting tendencies for artistic purposes almost like a fisheye.

A quick question, how wide is your UWA?

Joe

Sorry it is the Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6, I've corrected my sig.

This was taken during the Rex parade on Mardi Gras day. The lens used was the Canon workhorse, the 24-105 (which lens was often included in the package of the 5D as a kit). I still marvel at the results from this camera.
In the image the lad on the right seems to be ready to commend someone on doing a good job, or the like.
Joe
