Will Canon ever make a 7DII?

Please allow me to put this out straight-away. I do not believe that Canon will ever manufacture a 7DII. Sometimes I feel like the Lone Ranger. I am just wondering how others feel about the issue.

Not looking for opinions about the 7DII, there is enough of that. Only whether or not it will exist, someday.

Sounds good to me. Shall we define 'soon' as anytime in 2014?

Evidence, please. DPReview's link to CanonRumors.com is not evidence. It is a rumor about a rumor.

Who cares. I have never understood the obsession with what may or may not be made in the future.

I realize we are all guessing and it might be a poor bet to think Canon will at least announce the 7D 2 by the end of the year... but that is my guess.

I was waiting for it, money in hand, but I did wake up and smell the bacon. I ordered a 70D for now... if and when the 7D 2 becomes a reality and proves itself in the field, I'll worry about it then.

A No answer still raises the question; how much longer will Canon persevere with selling the 7D before they announce its discontinuance?

Personally I reckon they will release a mkII. There's enough areas where the 70D doesn't match the 7D.

The market is there and they raised the price on the 5D3 up to the point where they can comfortably place the 7DII in between the 70D, and 5D3/1DX without eroding the market. I read a rumor, yes a rumor, that they were not entirely happy with the results of the new sensor tech they put in the 70D as adapated to the 7DII.

I think they will, only because I believe many of these rumours are put out by canon themselves to create a buzz about new models, I think most companies do this.

You are 5 times smarter than the mass of people who are sitting around on their thumb waiting for the 7D II to be manufactured. I laugh at the stupidity of those people.
