canonpricewatch.com is good for tracking prices, as well as getting notified of sells as well as exactly what the item is (grey market /authorized dealer). They also don't post the bait and switch deals.

That all being said, actually buying it, adorama, B&H, amazon are the three main sites to check if you need to buy something on a particular day rather than waiting for a sale.

Better still, they notify the readers when they find a bait and switch dealer. And they list B&H / Adorama among the dealers they track for sales.

I buy almost everything from my local camera store, but sometimes a deal comes up on CPW that is impossible to beat; and since they are honest about the dealer, you're fully informed up front.

.

You know why? They are an Adorama affiliate, a B&H affiliate - and an affiliate for any other business they promote! eg https://www.adorama.com/pages/getconnected (external link)

BTW, no such thing as a free lunch.....

Thanks for the kind words -- we spend a lot of time and effort looking out for our readers -- we think it's important to be more than "just another deal site".

Yes. As we disclose on our site, we rely on the support of readers who choose to make purchases at the reputable stores we list (stores like Adorama!) to keep the site running. Especially as we don't run flashy banner ads everywhere like other sites. :)
