How many SD cards do you have and which size for this camera? If i travel then how many cards i should carry? if i will shoot video sometimes at full quality [1080p, 60fps] what is the size i should look at? say i will shoot around 4000-6000 shots and about video say something like 10-20 minutes short videos up to 2 hours total, or maybe sometimes 3-4 separated videos each is minimum 30 minutes.

if you have your laptop with you you can always damp your files to free up your SD card at the end of the day.

No, i will not carry my laptop with me, so i am thinking about which storage device to carry, my Epson P is very old and not working good, and my Vosonic is pain in...... to use, so i would like to buy another one new technology or better performance or faster and larger size.

Hi. I did sell it. But I immediately started missing it. And traded my 6D for another A7r ultimately.

Thank goodness that i don't sell and re-buy gear, i only sell when i know 100% i don't use it, i don't sell even if i am sure %95 i will not use, because i know i may buy it or use it again when i needed, so that i will not sell my 1Ds3 because i have 1DX and A7r, i know that 1Ds3 can be a backup camera for both main cameras if one is stopped working or was sent for service, and for landscape i prefer 1Ds3 over my 1DX, but A7r became my main camera unless i have issues to keep me using only Canon.

Anyway, is 5D3 and/or 6D worthy now for me as long i have 1DX and 1Ds3 and A7r?

This is what I would buy in your situation. Note that the link I posted above is for the casing only. You still need to add a harddrive of your choosing.

The last shot is a stitch of 3 50mm shots with no blending. I had hiked in there with nothing but my 50 and a polarizer so that's what I got. I wanted to stay til sunset but decided shorts/tshirt/tennis shoes wasn't a winning combination.

The third shot is unblended, just recaptured highlights in LR.

For the first two, I ended up at the smaller of the Reflection Lakes. Those were shot -3, 0, +3 using the $8 amazon remote. I experimented blending them by hand using alpha channel masking. It looked ok but not quite. I then went to Photomatix which 90% of the time looks like crap. Then onto Enfuse, which is the HDR plug in for Lightroom. It blends giving preference to exposure, contrast, and saturation. I played with the settings until it looked as I remembered it.

I then opened the file in Photoshop, darkened the midrange a bit, lightened some of the trees and darkened the foreground.

Hope that helps - Mike

Yea great, thanks. Lovely shots indeed.

Thanks David. Exif should be attached but just in case:

A7R
Canon 17 TS-E

25 sec @ ƒ4 - ISO 10,000

I liked the conditions so much, that I returned to this spot last night as well. I think I found a better composition (had to get wet at 3am isn't fun!).

So, I think this is my new happy place for awhile.

Oh man.. that's awesome.... has anyone noticed that the Canon EF lenses and the Canon FD/FL manual lenses produces better IQ that the Sony autofocus lenses?

With the 55mm 1.8 i get dull images... not the kind that i get with my manual lenses... maybe i just need more time with it... also the LCD sucks... i use the EVF, i turn the damn LCD off...
