Talk you out of it? Okay, well first of all it's significantly heavier than even the 50mm f/1.2L, at 815g (vs. 590). Being a Sigma, the future resale value is probably less (percentage-wise) than a Canon lens. Personally I've never owned a Sigma prime that focused accurately without adjustment, and the 60D doesn't support microadjust. I've heard they're getting better with the Art lenses, but you may also have to invest in the USB dock. The Canon 50mm f/1.4 is less than half the price. I find 50mm a bit awkward on APS-C. You could also use the money to purchase a proper tele zoom (or prime...135L?) for your SLR. Reasons enough?
