Got my New 135mm f/2.0L today.

Yes,...got my new 135 today, looks like I'm going to find a Duck to shoot.
Now I understand what some say is the magic. I've seen the the post for this lens and thought it was just a ll hype, I was wrong, the files from both my 6 and 60Ds were just great. Love the the bokeh and sharpness, everything pops.

It's an incredible lens. It's got its own very unique look IMO - different to the 85 1.2 and much easier to use.

Congrats! It's such a wonderful lens. I love it for full body length portraits wide open. It has a 3D quality to the pictures.

I got mine a couple days ago, haven't had too much time to shoot it yet, but the few images I've pulled from it are amazing.

my wife 100% approved the purchase when she saw the images.

Thanks to all of you. It's raining here in Latrobe, so no Duck picture today.

I haven't used mine since I no longer have a Canon body to shoot with. Been saving it to shoot with the a7r when I pick one up. I'll post picks comparing the Canon vs Nikon 135 f2 lens when I do have one. Both are definitely a class above in the optics though.

Make certain to post a pic of the duck and enjoy the lens.

But it sure makes things POP, seperating the subject from the background is what I'm Iooking for. The only other lenses 70-200 Tamron and the Canon did this well. They may have been maybe, not quite as sharp, maybe.
All I know is, I really like this lens over my 70-200. Yes I'll probably miss it's versatality.

Nope. Just trying to describe the pop and subject isolation this lens exhibits when used a certain way.

You can make things pop with all kinds of lenses. They don't all have to be just a handful.

A $280 lens does this (85mm F1.4, and I manually focus). Pretty good "pop." Background destruction is what isolates the subject and makes them "pop out."
