It's backbreaking work and temperatures will be near the 100° mark today.

I am happy that i left or did quit my job because in my country going to inspect constructions sites [I was a government civil engineer constructions sites inspector] in our summer is like you have a job in HELL, too hot and high humidity and after all full of stress with some contractors and consultants [few times owners too], so i will rest for 1 year and then will try to find another job that keep me away from inspecting sites regularly.

I figured at least I didn't have to do any real physical work in the heat myself...just watch others do it.

I'm very impressed with the sharpness of the Zeiss 55 f1.8 even shot wide open. One can easily read the markings on the steel in the images. I haven't applied any sharpening to this image.

Even at my work i don't do any real physical work, i just inspect their work according to the drawings they follow, but to do that i need not less than 5-10 minutes in most cases, and all are un-covered sites because i inspect them in stages [Foundations, tie-beams, slabs, good we don't check columns too], so i have to walk around the site to check out if they did the job properly before i sign, do that under the heat, you have not less than 5-6 sites per day and only in the morning day time, in the past we were only 2 with me or 3, and average we take is 8 sites.

The government time we have is 7:30am until 2:30pm, and we go to sites around 9am until around 12pm to 1pm, so we are inspecting under the peak time of sun, and it is hot from May until September.

Nice Todd.

Whats your thoughts on the upcoming A7s ? In my mind it seems to be a perfect choice for astrophotography (your A7r is doing a mighty fine job though) but not sure if im missing something

Today was the first day of pouring concrete and is for the invert (floor) of the concrete box. A concrete pump was used to deliver the concrete to the trench.

These were all shot using the Zeiss 24-70 f4. I hope I haven't bored everyone to tears yet showing these construction photos.

Pumped.
