Just picked up the Sony A7r last week and my Metabones III came in the mail a few days ago. The sunrises have been pretty terrible lately, so I have nothing to share. I do however, have a question.

Does anyone know of any intervalometers that are the equivalent of the Canon TC-80N3. The infrared remote that Sony offers is pretty unreliable and I'm not interested in any "Apps" that may be available from Sony either. It can be from a third party manufacturer...

Only if you're willing to splice up a cable to make one yourself. Here's the details if you want to make your own...I used this setup last week in Death Valley and at the Bristlecone Pine Forest and it worked great.

Good light over the Bristlecone Pine Forest. I've been zero'd at this spot many times and finally caught some good light over this famous tree. A7r and Zeiss 21.

That is exactly the kind of response I was hoping for. I'm definitely willing to splice a cable or two. Thank you for the detailed post!

PS. Amazing shot ^

I have a few times with my A7r. This is both the non OS in EF mount and OS in F mount. Yeah I know I'm crazy still owning both.

Haven't used either a great deal as I'm finding I'm enjoying 35-85mm as a focal range a bit more at the moment on that body. I think it is a little easier for me to manually focus and hold things steady when magnified. With the F mount, I'm finding it hard to hold the lens steady (handholding) long enough while focussing with focus magnification but when I've managed to get one in focus it has been great. The EF mount on the smart adaptor has been a bit easier using the slowish AF but just hasn't gotten out of the bag often enough. Nothing processed to upload though sorry.
