nice Para-Millie ! looks like its seen a lot of work, the DLC is showing some wear

Yes the PM2 is a daily user, I have safe queens but sometimes you need to show-off the one's that do the work.

My Paramillie has almost no wear, as a leftie i dont really like the nested compression lock (love it on my TI ATR though as there is no G10 in the way)
Just finished off some custom work on my SS Endura4 today - I carry a swisstool everyday, but ocassionally will tuck an endura sized folder in my pocket, most of my carry blades have had a little custom work done
(salts have their Ti clips stripped, polished and heat coloured, atlantic salt has been waved, pacific has been polished and had the spine rounded, dragonfly has had the SS scales patterned and the blade convexed, E4 has patterned scales)

I have a few safe queens too (micarta calypso, PE and SE toads, PE and SE Jot Singh Khalsas, live and trainer guntings, leaf blade little temperance, maddox, worker, Q, terzuola starmate and a few others)

My son's knife and watch, he came over and I took both from him so I could take a quick snapshot he thinks I've lost my mind.

Not only are those pictures beautiful, the woodwork on those grips are beautiful! Can I assume you did those yourself?

I didn't make the grips. They were made by Brian at Challis grips. I try to find some unique burl wood knife scales and send them to Brian. He turn them into small works of art.

Ooh, pretty, i have always liked the 1911
One thing i have always thought odd - chequered stocks hide the lovely grain of the timber, but smooth shiny stocks (which i love the look of in your pics, just beautiful) arent as grippy.
Seeing the timber scales there though, im going to guess you make your own grips ?
If so you are talented with both your hands (woodwork) and eyes (photography)

The smooth grips are more for looks than shooting. I have always been a fan of high end wood stocks. They were made by Brian at Challis grips.

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.
You're a ghost driving a meat-coated skeleton made from stardust, riding a rock, hurtling through space. Fear Nothing!
