^^^ Well, why you want to change the colors or let's say the white balance of the original one? The skin tone of the before is the best of three, this one above is better than after one definitely to my taste, but i still like the first one skin tone, that is me, nothing wrong with you or your preference.

Ok, it is another shot, no problem

if you examine closely, the original shot has uneven skin tones. some green cast in her face are visible. i was trying to even out the skin tones on all her skin. i agree the first edit was over saturated. I was trying to warm it up. and if i warm up the subject, i almost always balance the color of my subject and the background.

that's just me. but thanks for your cc.

I noticed it, I think both edits are better than the original, but the last one you posted was the best ;)

I would brighten the overall exposure just a touch more though and bring up the shadows a little in/around her eyes.

unplanned behind the scene shot.

Much prefer the before shot! The after shot looks like a "plastic" model...

Anyone here uses a sigma 150mm F2.8 macro OS? can you share your thoughts about the lens in your A7/A7R?

especially sharpness and bokeh on portraits. AF speed is not a problem since we're manual focusing.

I haven't used mine (Nikon mount) for portraits yet but in comparison to my previous D7000 and current D700, it is only sharper on my A7r. As for bokeh, maybe have a look through the sample thread for the lens - I haven't noticed any difference in any of my lenses on the A7r in comparison to their native mounts.
I will say though that the focus ring is not so fine past a metre (3'): just about all of the focus throw is used in the macro range. May not be an issue for you as you seem to be coping pretty well though

Thanks for sharing your experience with the lens. There's not much sample shots of the OS version thread.

ok, I'll have a look through what I have from it. you mentioned bokeh on portraits: as I haven't really shot anything like that what sort of background are you looking for? I might have time tomorrow to try to setup samples (without a model however) if you'd like

If you can. A natural light of 3/4 and full body shot. Try as much as possible the background to be at least 15-20 feet away from the subject at f2.8.

Thanks

guys, the lack of any movement or announcements by Sony on releases of native FE lenses is getting to be annoying. I do like my A7r, but the fact that I don't know if there is a native 85mm coming, or what else, just being in a dark. Do I have to buy LAE4 + 85 1.4 Zeiss for A mount or Minolta 85 1.4G, or is 85 FE coming? What about a native AF walkaround lens that reaches around 24-105?

So I want to get a wrist strap for my A7

choices are as follow The Lance Strap (external link) its ehhh....ehhh thin

then there is The Leica (external link) one,I dig the most

and then there is The Barton (external link) one which looks a lot like the Leica one.

The one thing in choosing this is the cost. I don't want to dish out near $80 bucks on a strap, but I do want one in this style.

Anyone seen them in style sub $50 mark ? or any other recommendations, ideas ?

Get out and shoot
