I ordered mine from a local retailer in Michigan on 4/26. It arrived on Thursday, 6/12, so it took 7 weeks, even though the Tamron rep told me it would be 2 weeks (I ordered an paid during the tax free weekend when all the camera/lens reps were there). They only got 2 in and I was #2 on the list. My Nikon friend ordered the same day and was #5 on that list and got the call a week earlier than me.

Yeah. I ordered from B&H on 04/01. Still waiting. Who knows, they may have hundreds on backorder. Wolfe's in Topeka is 45 minutes from me, but I figured B&H would be faster.

Since nearly 2/3 of those responding to this poll ordered from B&H, we will hopefully have some good news from some of us regarding this latest shipment.

I tried to get B&H to tell me how many people were on the waiting list, but of course they would not tell me. But it never hurts to try!

Not this lens but I was eager (like many) to source the Sigma 50 1.4 Art and Adorama did tell me where I sat on the list but I had a contact on the sales team as opposed to a dial in CSR.

I just contacted a camera store 2 hrs from me. I am now #3 on the Canon waiting list and a Nikon wait would be longer (for their store). The salesman said they're expecting some in shortly. Of course I would then have to pay shipping and taxes, but oh well.

Wow, 4/1 and not got it yet. I ordered from B&H on 4/20, so I am going to be waiting a while. I have tried to find out from B&H how far down the list I am, and to get any idea of how often and how many lenses they get.
They are vague and closed-mouthed about it though.

glad to hear that the item is still moving. Ordered mine in april sometime, and I'm ok waiting 4 months, but of course would rather have it sooner.

Well, I just received another backorder status email from B&H, so I guess that if they received any stock it was not enough to get to my order. Eleven weeks and counting...

Oh! Cool, so if I order it now it'll be here by my birthday! :D And if it somehow shows up earlier, I'll use this as an excuse for my wife ;)
