When I found this heron early this morning, he already caught the big fish. However, for some reason, he did not consume it right away. He held on to the fish for a while ... dropped the fish back into the water and stabbed it a couple times ... dipped the fish in water again as if to rinse it ... gave a few false starts before finally consuming the fish.
(... not to say about keeping me kneeling in the mud the whole time waiting for him to get it over with )
