Hi, been lurking awhile and noticed their is no camera strap reviews that I could find. I'm starting one of those 365 projects and looking for a new strap. Can't decide between the blackrapid (rs-4 and rs-5) and the crumpler. Anybody have any input they can give me.

I've had both, I prefer the Black Rapid. Nothing wrong with the Crumpler, I just hate the camera hanging on my neck. I have the RS-sport.

Straps are more subjective. As long as they secure the camera and it's comfortable, that's all that really matters. Typically I'd go to a local camera store and try them on. But the ones you listed have nothing wrong with them.

had the Crumpler Industry Disgrace, which was much more comfortable than the stock strap, but the neoprene still bothered me after long periods of wearing it around my neck. got the BR strap, havent looked back.

I love my black rapid strap, but may sell it and try a capture clip.

I have the Black Rapid RS-7 for when I use 1 body and the DR-1 for when I'm lugging around 2 bodies. I really like them both and they are much better than the OEM straps.

That being said, I'm now looking at the Luma Labs Cinch as I like the fact that I can adjust the length on the fly and very quickly I might add. That way it is snug to your body when walking, hiking, etc, and then when you are ready to shoot you extend the length. Another plus is that it attaches to 2 points on your camera instead of just one on the Black Rapid.

Good luck on your search!

mine is the Blackrapid rs-sport extreme and it is very comfortable. the strap under the arm really does help keep the camera from swinging

I like my Luma Labs Cinch. My 70D has a battery grip installed and when adding my heaviest lens (70-300L), I can carry it for hours with very little discomfort.

I have 2 industry disgrace straps, one is a black crumpled the other is the canon cps crumpled strap. The canon branded one has more padding and hasn't worn in very well. The black one is so worn I could fold it into a small square.

I like them but I find I take them off more then I use them now.

Heh, I was in the same boat.

So, I've got an RS-7 and an Industry Disgrace.

Indecision... :-)

I have ID and I find that I like to put it over one of my shoulders instead of it being only over the neck. In most situations I can just swing it and take a picture.
