Chrome and IE are the same for me, but my two monitors (same Dell model) are different. One them loses the bright ends of a couple colors. My Nexus 4 nails it completely in Chrome, with all 32 colors easily distinguishable. Interesting.

Bobby, that's a pretty dramatic conversion!

Was this Raw processing only? I ask because for this thread we do ask for only Raw processing to be shown, so let us know! And, we do ask that you show us your Raw conversion work, either screen shots from your Raw processor or at least a detailed run-down of your Raw processing!

Please check out the Intro to this thread for our guidelines, and then scroll through to see how folks have been doing what they can to help make this thread a help and inspiration!

And, thanks for the contribution!

Yes, that is raw processing only, done in Lightroom.

Cool, take a look at our request to post either a screen shot(s) or editing details...so you know, that has been a huge part of the success of this thread and the help it has been to so many people!

That's a great conversion Bobby. Looking forward to the follow up of how you transformed it. Please include a larger version also.

Bobby, I also would like to see the rest of your conversion and what is requested :) In the mean time, I'll add my own.

I always leave my house with my camera and this is what I saw one day and he was kind enough to let me take a picture.

Hi all:

Here's one from Ecuador I did last summer. Taken at Polylepis Forest at abut 13,000 feet of the local trout. Done in Lightroom 5, just fooling around with the image (I haven't been doing this very long). Canon T3i EF-s 18-55 at 55mm, ISO 400, 1/500 @f6.3

Hey, Ed, nice to see you getting some Light and Color out of that!

Thanks for the contribution, encouraging folks to wade into things!

Thanks. I had years of experience working with film, mostly 35mm, but am new to digital image processing. I took a class in digital photography last year at the local community college that jumpstarted the process that had foundered until then. It opened a new universe to me, of potential, however I am staggered by the volume of information to be absorbed, mastered, and applied. This may take a while!!

edmidlifecrisis, I'm impressed by the vibrance of the one green trout in the mix! You caught that image well. If you are editing these in Lightroom, I would suggest always shooting in RAW and editing the RAW files. Also (I'm trying to help you, not shut you down, this is a good edit) You pumped up the "sharpening" adjustment without editing the "noise reduction" adjustment. Now, when I first started using Lightroom, I was similar. However, adding more sharpening to your image will make it have more digital noise and therefore actually degrade the quality (backtracking your efforts). Try and bump up the noise reduction and lower the sharpness a little bit. Get it so that the water looks similar to your unedited image if at all possible!

I cannot wait to see more from you and love seeing everyones work on this page! :) Going to go ahead and locate an image of my own now
