....and the entire river was in shadow, except this one little spot where the last rays of the sun were shining on this stump. Perfect place for an eagle to land, I thought ;)

Beautiful. I love pictures that include the surroundings. Not every one needs to be frame filling. Very nice.

Thanks Dan. I'm glad he sat there for a bit, as I had to play with the exposure over several shots to avoid the glare of the setting sun on that white head. Some worked out OK.
