Thanks msowsun!

I actually masked it with a matte filter. Here's the original photo:

The original looks even better to me. :)

The contrast is too legit to quit on this. Forget that slider exists when editing shots from this lens, unless you want to remove some contrast....

Halleluah! Finally received my S50Art from B+C Photo (Thanks again, Herb!). (And canceled my original order still on back-order)

So far, the AF hits on near-field objects and far-field objects, without any MFA on one of my 5D3 bodies. I was just taking some random shots in my office and in a break room that's pretty large.

The AF is fast and assured. Not much hunting. I haven't tried it in low low light yet, but I'm stoked for some shooting this weekend.

Pat,

You are welcome sir! Did they give you a sigma shirt? They gave me one as a freebie!

My copy is amazing! This lens is super fast and precise. Will post pics later (man I need a 6d or 5dk3) =(

Are they an authorized dealer? (Nevermind, just checked and they are)

Looks like they still have them in stock..... o.O

Do you have a link to B+C Photo? I did a google search but a bunch of different stores pop up.

Thanks!

Herb

I've checked and checked and don't see it listed from 47th Street Photo. Also, Amazon itself says, "Usually ships within 2 to 5 months"! None in stock. I called and confirmed.
Vendors that do have it in stock are charging ~$1,200+.

Thanks! If anyone see's this on Amazon again please let me know!

To everyone... in your opinions, is it worth to pay the ~$200 or so premium to get this lens now now now?

Screw it! I bought it! Hopefully I'll have it in 1-3 days.

I absolutely NEED this for my trip. I am traveling half way across the world and I plan to use it for portraits and absolutely WANT to HAVE this lens for the job. Grand parents, aunts, uncles, close family. I don't want to miss a shot in low light and hate flash.

It is unlikely it will be delivered in 2-3 days. Where did you buy it from? My local store has it but I didn't want to pay tax haha. So I didnt get that copy.
