Fantastic. I missed camping this past weekend at the Roan Highlands -- judging from the pictures posted, it was an incredible scene up there... as your photo also attests!

Thanks! Acutally the Rhododendron bloom was not very good this year, there were many that had just a few blooms. The weather conditions on the morning I took that shot made up for the lack of blooms though :D

You've shown it quite well, Jeevz.

How'd you interface the CPL & BS to the Samyang?

slickooz wrote in post #1697927 (external link)
Thanks! amazing shot! I would like to know how u used big stopper+CPL with 14mm.

Thanks... Sorry for the slow reply, just have internet again now :)

I posted a picture a while ago (maybe 1-2 years ;) ) in the Samyang 14mm lens sample thread, but I think the link is dead now. I will try to post another one here sometime soon.

I cut the petal hood of the lens to make it shorter, so it doesn't protrude past the glass. And I have made a filter holder from cardboard and rubber which fits onto the end of the lens. I then just attached the Lee filter holder rubber holder pieces to this so that I can use 2 filters at a time.

I have never used it on full frame, so it might vignette a bit. But on crop cameras it works fine.

I like that a lot XYZ. I used to live in Utah, I was dumb and never took the opportunity to go check out the park. I regret that decision now. It looks amazing.

I'd say so. :D

I might give you a shout if I head back over to the mountains this summer. Maybe we could d a few sunrises / sunsets out that way.

I really like this one, framing and color are spot on. Is this single exposure, it looks to have a bit to much dynamic range for single shot?
