^Awesome shot!

My girlfriend's brother and his new rescued dog. The poor thing is terrified of men, but she warmed right up to me :)

Finally got the X-T1... I have to say that cam is really damn good if you know how to work with every cameras... X-T1 is not for everyone, its definitely for the advanced photographers or photographers that used to shoot film for years. Highly Recommended.

I have a full recap here: http://newschoolofphotography.com/showthread.php?t=40703 (external link)
but yeah, shot the first full wedding of the year with the fujis yesterday. I shot 71 frames with the XE2 with the fisheye and 18mm. I typically use one body and swap lenses with the canons so I did similar duty with the fujis and just kept the XE2 in the bag for wide shots. The XT1 swapped the 23 and 56 on all day and they were wonderful. Their aperture rings could be tighter but I've learned to put a finger on them and always just keep pressure on them in the direction I want (typically wide open). Battery wise I used 6 but that's not a full count. I didn't pull the batteries out of the XE2 or XT1 to charge them so the XE2 wanted a new one ~30 shots in. And it's second battery is in that count. That puts 4 through the XT1 but the first wasn't charged to start (but went a long time anyway) and the 4th was only in for <100 shots so it was hardly used. Add up all those fractions and it's about 4 fully charged batteries I'd guess but I'm glad I have 10. Yes 10. :diaf: Memory wise the XE2 had hardly anything on it's 32gb. The XT1 had filled a 32gb by the end of the ceremony but didn't fill the second by the end of the night. Around 1500 shots total. The XT1 did well but it's AF points aren't cross type which is a PITA. When it struggles if you rotate it 90 degrees it'll usually lock quickly the other way if you're using a good contrasty point. But it's better than the 5Diii in stupidly low light actually. The camera won't trigger a flash when not in single shot mode (or at least it won't in continuous) so be VERY careful when you change your ISO that you don't bump that switch as well.... The EVF is amazing for this sort of work though. You can see your EV changes real time so you know how far to go. It's really weird seeing your DR live though as white puffy clouds go white when you bring it up enough for a grooms coat or you see his coat go black. GREAT info to have but just weird and something you adjust to. The rear buttons SUCK for changing AF points though. Makes me wonder if they ever tested the camera. Can't do it with the camera to my face yet...

I also used my V850s for the first time. LOVE the batteries! They're a very large flash on an XT1 but the total package is smaller than the canon setup I had even with a 430 there... It's just super top heavy and needs to be treated a bit differently. The off camera flash setup is great but hard to see in the dark (as were the XT1 dials, but that info is on screen as well so you just have to learn to look there). Groups get bumped SUPER easy. I'm thinking gaffers tape and a silver sharpie will sort that right out.

All in all a success and I'm not regretting my switch at all. Some things to relearn and adjust to but nothing major. If fuji adds cross types and fixes the rear buttons to be the same as the XE2 (and gives us an option for fast AF point moving!) I'd be in heaven there.

here's one of the shots where the EVF shows why it's so easy to use, dial in the EV until it looks good and shoot!

Shot these with the X-Pro1 + Zeiss Planar 50/2.0. I'm liking the ~50mm focal length, it's gonna be hard to resist the Fuji 56/1.2 for too much longer.
