Can anybody post a detailed flower shot please? I am really considering this lens for its all round use! Being 24-70mm and very compact is great for my use.. I'm looking to buy an all-round lens which is really sharp and want to start doing some macro shots.. However, if this fits my needs I won't bother buying two lenses, I just buy this one! I'm not interested in extremely small insects macro shots.

These are not the best, the lens can do better, but as a start...

Thanks Mavvy! You've proven the lens can get pretty close. Some more people wanting to share? Thanks!

Here's a macro shot made with the lens (70D + 24-70/4), and another shot of the lens doing that same shot (taken with EOS M + 11-22)

Hmm. Thinking of shopping in my samyang 14mm, sigma 50mm f1.4 and tamron 90 mm macro for one of these.

I shoot astro with the 14 but now have the 16-35 f4, don't use the 50 a huge amount mostly for pano, the 90 hardly gets used, I have a 70-200
