Anyone X100 owners thinking of picking up the TCL-X100 teleconverter? Some people consider 35mm and 50mm nearly interchangeable, but I actually have different preferences for what I like to shoot with each focal length. I was even tempted to pick up a cheaper Fuji X body and pair it with the 35mm 1.4, but seems like the TCL-X100 might be a better and cheaper alternative.

Been thinking about it big time. I love my x100, but feel like I'd love it even more with a 50mm FL. My biggest debate is whether or not I wanna put more money into the camera. It's an x100 not x100s and I'm not sure if I'll upgrade, but I'm not sure if that even matters lol.

I wish I could use one for a while then make my decision.

What're you replacing it with? Zeiss 12?

Also, FYI - new firmware is available

I'm adding an A7R for my landscape stuff. I've purchased a 17-40 (3rd time!)), so selling the 10-24. Took less than 20 shots with it. Keeping the x-t1 / 23 / 56 for everything else

Did you buy the A7R for the A7R or for 17-40L?

Basically, were you dissatisfied with the X-T1 or the 10-24 (or both) for landscapes?

I was dissatisfied with the xt1 / 10-24 for landscapes. Probably more towards the xt1 as the lens seemed good. A combination of poor demosaicing on Lightroom, reduced resolution on the sensor (from what I came from) and the electronic DOF scale all started to bug me . I just couldn't click with it and haven't taken a landscape photo I'm happy with yet. I find the xt1 and 23/56 combo to be great for everything else - mainly family and friend photos etc. so will be keeping it for that.

I am about to purchase the a7r for the dynamic range and resolution. I purchased a 17-40 yesterday for the a7r as I can't afford a TSE 24II at the moment (the lens I sold to buy the fuji kit). The A7R / 17-40 combo will solely be for landscape stuff. Down the line I may swap for the new 16-35 or possibly the TSE 24 II. I chose the a7r over a canon body for the sensor

Gotcha. Be interested to see what you do with the A7R.

I've been enjoying the 56 a lot. Missed a deal on a 23 recently, but it's an itch waiting to be scratched. Though I'm getting my x100s back in 2 days (lent to a friend for 2 months). Maybe that will temporarily relieve my desire for the XF 23.

I really enjoy the 23, it's a do everything lens for me (excluding landscapes :)) the 56 is amazing too, if it had the pull back manual focus selector like the 23 it would be even better. I really like that feature on the 23

personally I've been pleasantly surprised at how good my fuji shots are landscape wise -vs- the canon and feel the colors and sensor noise are at least no worse -vs- the 5Diii and better than the 7D/5Dii I had before it. But I will say an a7r is tempting for that DR and detail if and when they make their own wide lens for it. I refuse to play the adapter game but once they provide a solution I'll be very tempted...

why no adapter game? my brother bought the viltrox adapter for 100 bucks (full electronics and AF), and it seems ok. Eventually, those electric adapters will be really cheap once the market is flooded. For landscapes, the sony is pretty damn killer. Good focus peaking, lightweight, it's a nice digital back. For autofocus use.... it's pretty terrible.

I'm loving this little speedbooster, it really makes me want an X-T1 though, I find the EVF on the X-E1 really difficult to focus through.

Another from the 27mm. This is highly cropped from the original, almost 100%.

My friend (in the flip-flops) is a fencer. He had some of his stuff in his car and my other friend wanted to try his hand at fighting him. He didn't fare to well even though Rob was in flip-flops  The X-E1 didn't do too bad with focus though to my surprise, and the 6fps is definitely handy :)
